I use the SI all year long but really excels for me on an underspin. LMB, SMB, walleye, pike, doesn’t matter they all choke this bait! I fish a Keitech Fat impact a lot as welll but in highly pressured waters of southern WI or when the bite is really tough, something about this bait that can’t resist.
I use these with both my spinning rods and my Tenkara Fly Rods for Smallmouth, Walleye, White bass and Drum bass in rivers. The colors are subtle (the ones I use) but excellent in the water. I like that they have a subtle scent which I believe helps with effectiveness. The texture is soft (like life), but the lure is sturdy enough to stay on the hook without sliding down the shank, and I am able to catch two to three fish before it begins to degrade. I like the way the tail and the whole lure moves in the water. I swim it, jig it, drift it and sometimes just let it sit on the bottom. Mainly I use them with 1/16th ounce jigs. Worth buying.
With winter in full swing, I have had no chance to use these yet.
Love throwing these little guys during the fall! Smallies eat them up!
